There will be a two (2) week system outage to perform maintenance on the TAP transaction portal from April 16th thru April 30th 2018.
Please be assured there will be no change in the level of benefits received by program participants, only a two (2) week delay in administrative processing.
During this two (2) week outage period, employees will not be able to access the tuition portal, as well as be able to submit new applications, grades, documentation, upgrade current applications or submit reimbursement requests. Also, EdAssist will not be able to issue any payments or reimbursements during this time.
Verizon will be implementing a grace period, however, following this systematic conversion, for those administrative transactions that were due during this period.
Once these system enhancements are completed, all employees who participate in the Verizon Tuition program will be able to access the updated tuition portal using a single URL (https://tamsonline.org/TAPVerizon) and a common Verizon UserID (employee’s VZID), as well as have a common point of contact at EdAssist for TAP inquiries (phone number: 866-994-3470/fax number: 866-548-2235).
Although the system will remain available up until April 15th, 2018, it is recommended that employee(s) submit their TAP applications and required documentation to EdAssist by April 10th, 2018 thereby avoiding any undue processing delays.
A communication in this regard will be sent to participants in advance to allow them the time to process any TAP transactions prior to April 16, 2018.
